A style guide helps keep your content consistent, on-brand, and tailored to your audience. Creating your style guide in Wordbrew provides the tone, voice, formatting, and punctuation that will be used across all your content.

Step 1: Navigate to style guidelines

Start by clicking on Style Guidelines in the left-hand menu. This is where you'll create and customize your brand’s style guide.

Step 2: Complete the three style guideline sections

The Style Guidelines section is divided into three areas:

Brand profile

Define your brand’s voice and identity by filling in details like your brand name, competitors, mission, and tone of voice. This helps Wordbrew align every piece of content with your brand’s unique personality.

Punctuation

Toggle on or off your preferences for punctuation, such as using the Oxford comma or how you’d like ellipses and exclamation points to appear.

Style

Set rules for contractions, capitalization, and even banned words to maintain consistency across all content.

You can also include power words to reinforce your messaging.

💡 Tip: Use clear, concise descriptions for your brand voice and values. Be as detailed as possible—include tone, preferred words, and examples of how your brand should sound.

Step 3: Save and apply your style guide

Once you’ve completed each section, click Apply to save your settings. Your style guide will now serve as the foundation for all customized content generated in Wordbrew.
